I've been waiting to try my hand at resawing so I ordered some wood to play with. Well it came and I spent the day playing. I must say It's not quite as easy as I thought it would be and took a lot longer than I thought it would. Not that I ever even considered it, but I can assure you I won't be setting up shop next to Bob or Don...

First of all I got two boards of Imbuia... One is flatsawn and one was more riff sawn.

Then I also bought some Leopard Wood. This stuff is heavy and hard. I cut one of these boards today and it came out pretty good.

Then finally this Macawood board... I haven't cut it yet maybe tomorrow. Looks nice huh?

Some of the days fruits... A nice set of Imbuia.

Very nice Ron!

I've only had a little experience resawing with Serge, but it was a blast!

Keep it up!

Groovy! I would also like to see the Macarenawood when you get some cut.

I will post more photos of the Macawood when I cut it. The bandsaw I used is a Powermatic 14" with a riser block. 4t 1/2" blade with a homemade fence.
